Lira is a calm and gentle girl with an excellent working attitude. She arrived from MCK, USA on 17th October 2008 having run the Iditarod ceremonial start in March and ran in swing for Phil Morrison’s team to finish the Beargrease 150 in January.

Lira was born in 2004 to Altoid of Jedeye(Iditarod 2008) and Alaskan’s Soldotna of Anadyr. She is a big, strong girl, very fast with amazing focus and a truly beautiful movement. She has a bubbly, confident and sweet personality and is very affectionate and playful.

The evening Lira arrived she immediately got to work in our 14 dog team and after 4 fast miles still had fuel left in the tank. She settled straight in with the pack and has made best friends with Cudos. Lira is socially well adjusted with a calm disposition and perfect manners. She is happy to run in lead and her ability is currently being built on. She is an extremely committed hard worker that really shows when she runs in 2 dog teams. She is good at conserving energy when running and is making great progress. Lira is one of the 14 dogs training for the 8-dog Femundlopet and Finnmarkslopet 2010.
