EULOGY
Pepper was an active happy go lucky dog that was into everything. Always smiling, always happy and never wanting to miss out on the goings on in the yard, house or on the trail. An exceptional working dog, that put everything she had into working hard as a team member and also as a great racing and pack leader. Pepper was our motivation to follow our own dreams and to strive towards achieving those dreams. Pepper was always there for a cuddle, very sensitive and perceptive and even when she was poorly she kept her spirits up and was there for both of us, our rock. Pepper was an excellent mother to her young pups and we can see so much of her in each of them. Despite the vets doing every test we could think of, the illness that Pepper had was never discovered. Pepper died peacefully in our arms at the vets at 0930 on Thursday 30th September 2010, she remained smiling and full of courage to the end. We are so thankful for every minute we had with Pepper, she was such an amazing character and friend, she touched many peoples lives all over the world. She is sorely missed, will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever and with us every step of the way as we try to do as well in racing as she did. Thankyou for being our guardian angel Pepper, run free and enjoy your next adventure. We love you.

BIOGRAPHY
Pepper is an awesome worker and a real sweetheart. She arrived from Jennifer and Blake Freking’s MCK, USA on 17th October 2008 having run Iditarod in March. Pepper is a big, strong girl with lots of power and speed, she has loads of spunk and character and a full on working attitude. She is gentle, affectionate, very confident and happy go lucky.  On our first trip to MCK Pepper and her sister Ziggy lead several of the outings we got to go on with Blake or Jen and we dreamt that one day we may own her.

The evening Pepper arrived she confidently led our 14 dog team with Loki next to her. Setting an excellent pace, she progressed well with the transition to sprint mushing and returned happily to distance training, leading the team.  She had no problem settling straight in with the pack, she is well socialized, has good manners and has a real cunning flare for getting her own way. Pepper is a favourite with every one that meets her, demanding cuddles, she is one of those dogs that is always happy no matter what. Pepper is just as happy to cuddle up to you on the sofa, as she is driving hard in a big team. A one in a million dog!

FAMILY
She has awsome Alaskan Anadyr lines, she is half sister to Orso and aunt to 9 of our dogs and mother to 5 amazing pups by Ward. Pepper's parents Alex & Splatters were two of MCK's best leaders for many years. Pepper's sister Ziggy ran on Jen's Iditarod 2008 and Peso, Pepper's brother finished the 2010 Iditarod on Blake's record breaking team.
