Sven has an honest and peaceful personality. Imported in November 2006 from Blake and Jennifer Freking's Manitou Crossing Kennels, USA. His lines are primarily Vargevass/Igloo Pak. He is gentle, sweet, enthusiastic and very friendly, he works hard and has a great attitude in harness. Sven is a fast and steady worker, he made an excellent transition to sprint running and has really enhanced his confidence and fitness over the season. Sven is an amazing wheel dog with a determined attitude, he normally runs on Mel's team. He has a biddable, energetic and inquisitive temperament, is well mannered, loves being cuddled and is socially well adjusted. Sven is a stunning dog with beautiful graceful movement and excellent formation. He has demonstrated great versatility, excelling in a one off agility event, cani-X and ring craft.

Sven had 3 seasons training and racing experience while in the USA, including finishing the Beargrease 150 in 2006. His mother (Jedeye) Moonshadows Grommit No Kita led Jen's teams from 1999-2004 and his father Nokken av Vargevass; imported from Norway is the progeny from most of Vargevass' influential dogs. Sven's litter brother Bodo has finished 3 Beargrease Marathons and Iditarod 2008 on Blake's record breaking team and litter sister Lena finished Iditarod 2008 on Jen's amazing team.

Sven is one of the 14 dogs training for the 8-dog class Femundlopet and Finnmarkslopet 2010.
